Scared to See a Psychic?

I purposefully refuse to receive information about cheating partners, time of death, someone receiving a specific diagnosis of a life threatening illness, or anything like that which could really screw up someone’s life. Why? When I was learning to do readings and work ethically with clients, my mentor explained to me how a lady she knew  attended  a psychic party. Now let me tell you, when folks head to a psychic party, they want to have some jollies and joy- not wig the hell out! Anyhow, the psychic proceeds to tell her that her daughter was going to die soon. As you would suspect, the client was horrified and devastated. I seriously doubt there was any jolliness at the party after that dire prediction. And folks, that is all that was—a dire prediction. It never happened.

Same sad tale with another psychic telling a client that her husband was cheating on her. Long story short, she divorced him. And he was never cheating on her after all.

My mentor advised me to think carefully about what news I was willing to deliver because  there is the potential to create way more harm than good in sharing certain kinds of information.  Psychics are human, and sometimes we are wrong.  People can be severely upset and worse by an incorrect revelation or prediction. Also, energy changes all the time. When someone asks me about their future, I tell them that this information is valid for today only. I encourage them to consider what I say to be nothing more than a possibility and to act according to their desired outcome.

So how did I block that manner of news from entering my consciousness? I decided what I would and wouldn’t share with a client, and I put a filter around those topics. I flat out refused to pick up certain things. It has worked well because I never hear what I have instructed the Universe to keep to itself.  I also have my boundaries written on my website, so folks know up front that I will not tell them if they have a cheating partner, etc.

A few other thoughts about “bad news” before I finish up here….

Think of how often something occurred in your life, and you initially deemed it to be a negative event. As time passed, you changed your mind and found it was actually quite beneficial! Sometimes what appears to be crap is really a blessing in disguise!

Also, how a psychic delivers her messages can make a huge impact on the client’s perception of it. Since I am a former counselor and also have life coach training, I understand how to phrase information in an empowering way.  Now sometimes there is just no way to positively word the message so that it doesn’t sound yucky. Some things are simply yucky, and in this case, asking spirit guides for the best course of action for the client to take is wise.

In order to enjoy the most ethical, useful session, get a referral to a psychic rather than just picking one willy-nilly wherever you happen to run into one. If you choose to see someone at a metaphysical store, read their bios online and select who feels best to you. If someone is promising to restore lost love, or protect you from curses by selling you a special candle, just run like the hounds of hell are after you from that!

By visiting the right professional psychic, you will find that working with a psychic medium can help you understand your life better and make better choices, heal, or whatever it is you need help with.
